Individuals aged 4 to 90 and organisations in Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth and Stansted were recognised at the Bishop’s Stortford Independent’s fourth annual Indies community awards.
While more than 100 nominees, sponsors and guests attended the awards ceremony at South Mill Arts on the evening of Thursday November 24, the event was a celebration of the hundreds of people who make the town a caring and compassionate place. The worthy winners categories were just a small selection of the special people who add value to all our lives – and do so without any thought of reward or recognition.
Before the event itself, guests mingled in the Maltings bar area of the arts centre and were snapped on a red carpet by our photographer Vikki Lince.
