Being at the centre of controversy is hardly a new concept for the Kardashian family, and this time looks to be no different.
However, it wasn’t her religious voyage that’s become the talk of the town, but rather, her choice of attire while attending a place of worship with strict dress codes.
Of course, taking issue with clothing that a woman has chosen to wear to church is not what should be focused on. After all, women shouldn’t be ridiculed for their choice in ensemble.
It continues: “Sleeveless and/or low-cut garments, shorts above the knee, miniskirts and hats are not permitted. The requirement of decorum extends also to any visible personal objects as well as similarly visible distinctive personal signs (such as, for example, tattoos) that may offend Catholic morality, the Catholic religion, and common decency.”
However, the internet has taken aim at the reasoning behind why she opted for that particular outfit.
Tradition states that only Catholic queens wore white lace to the Vatican, while most have dressed in black. And while the black fashion rule is no longer in use, many are questioning whether Kardashian’s objective for wearing white was for the above or simply because she loved the look.
That same source also revealed that the SKIMS founder was allowed to explore the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter Basilica’s during a private, two-and-a-half-hour tour with Moss and her daughter.
“They all seemed like good friends who had plenty to talk about,” the source admits. “When they arrived at the Vatican, they were greeted outside by staff who gave them hugs. Kim was met by Tracy and they all went inside together”
“They spent lots of time learning the history and admiring all of the beautiful details. They stopped to take photos of Michelangelo’s artwork and statue,” the source continues.
“They entered St. Peter’s Basilica where they watched mass. They enjoyed all of the incredible beauty of the Vatican and paused many times to take it all in.”
Either way, if the Pope let it slide, then perhaps the internet should too.
