Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton steals an arrow from Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop in a new set video for the Disney+ Hawkeye series.
A new set video from Hawkeye shows Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) stealing one of Kate Bishop’s (Hailee Steinfeld) arrows. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s often-sidelined sharpshooter is getting his own Disney+ show in Phase 4. Marvel Studios confirmed the series was in the works in 2019, but it wasn’t until late 2020 that production finally began. Right as filming on Hawkeye started, the internet has received a steady stream of set photos and videos that tease the show.
In just about every instance, the Hawkeye and Kate Bishop team-up has been at the center of the leaked looks. These have so far included the reveal of Hailee Steinfeld in Kate Bishop’s superhero suit and the first look at Maya Lopez, aka Echo (Alaqua Cox). Marvel Studios has only officially released a few seconds of footage showing Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop. Hawkeye is expected to borrow heavily from Matt Fraction’s run with the characters and heavily focus on Clint training Kate to be the next Hawkeye.
Production on Hawkeye continues to move along in Atlanta, Georgia. Both Renner and Steinfeld have recently teased on social media how filming is going with a few photos of their own. But, that hasn’t stopped some more unofficial looks at Hawkeye from surfacing online. The latest set video from @hectorhector on Twitter is quick, but it does show Clint and Kate walking through an ally together. Kate is in her bright purple suit, but Clint appears to be in more casual attire. The footage shows Hawkeye taking one of Kate’s arrows, even though he does not appear to have a bow in hand.
Marvel’s Hawkeye TV show shot outside my apartment in Sweet Auburn last night. Here’s a video I took from my window! Probably the closest I’ll ever get to an Avenger. https://t.co/KChYyig1E8

While this new set video doesn’t provide any substantial reveals about Hawkeye, it is a welcome reminder that production is running smoothly. Renner and Steinfeld have been busy filming Hawkeye for two months, and there have been no known issues. That is a great accomplishment so far, considering the coronavirus pandemic is still not over. It would appear that Marvel Studios and the Hawkeye cast and crew have managed to maneuver through these unprecedented times safely.
As long as Hawkeye continues to move forward without any problems, it should be able to remain on track for a late 2021 Disney+ release. Marvel Studios and Disney haven’t specified an exact release date for the series yet, but it will come near the end of the year after Ms. Marvel debuts. Set photos indicate Hawkeye takes place in 2025 at or around Christmas, so the series could be the last piece of MCU content released in 2021 potentially. Although this likely means we’re still months away from a proper Hawkeye trailer, the good news is there is no shortage of MCU content coming to Disney+ in the meantime.
