Father Matthew Dajo who was abducted by gunmen on the night of November 22nd during an attack on the town of Yangoji, where his parish, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, is located, has now been released. Kidnappings of Catholics in Nigeria is an ongoing problem that also affects the lay faithful. On November 28th, Islamist militants massacred over 110 farmers and beheaded an estimated 30 people in Nigeria’s northeast Borno State. Fr. Don Bosco Onyalla, the editor-in-chief of ACI Africa, joins to share what Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama from the Archdiocese of Abuja had to say after Fr. Dajo’s release and what we know about who may be responsible for his kidnapping. Fr.
