Vojnovi\u0107 said: \u201cThis is about more than our group in Pforzheim. It\u2019s about whether prayer-free zones are lawful, or whether one is allowed to represent different opinions in the public square. That is why we will continue fighting for this freedom.\u201d <\/p>\n

CNA Deutsch, CNA\u2019s German-language news partner, reported that the appeal was granted in the same week that Germany\u2019s new federal government announced plans to target \u201cpavement harassment by anti-abortion activists.\u201d<\/p>\n

The incoming government is a three-party coalition formed by the center-left Social Democratic Party (SPD), with the pro-business Free Democrats and the environmentalist Greens as its partners. It is nicknamed the \u201ctraffic light coalition\u201d because the parties\u2019 colors are red, yellow, and green respectively. <\/p>\n

The coalition agreement contains a section entitled \u201cReproductive Self-Determination\u201d that promises to strengthen the \u201cright of women to self-determination.\u201d It also describes free abortions as part of \u201creliable health care,\u201d CNA Deutsch reported.<\/p>\n

In 2019, the local municipality in Pforzheim, in the federal state of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, denied the prayer group permission to hold vigils near the center. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
