In fall of 2022, Catholic Charities opened a satellite office in Hartford, to further expand access to counseling services in Washington County. Plans include expanding services for the Spanish speaking population in the county with the aid of a bilingual therapist and a case manager.

While the focus of Catholic Charities is on serving youth and families in Washington County, affected by poverty and face barriers to quality mental health services, the local non-profit will work with anyone in need.

“We are thankful for our United Way partnership and the ability to connect with individuals in the community including youth and families,” said Taylor Bufton with Catholic Charities. “Through United Way funding we are able to continue to offer easily accessible services to those that need us most and that could mean those that may not have access to care, the underinsured or uninsured.”
