Cam Dupee and Cam Cavatorta were in the Christmas spirit as they each handed out two assists for the Dolphins in a 5-0 shutout win over Bishop Stang in boys hockey action on Tuesday.

Daniel Julian and Aidan Powers each had a goal and an assist for D-Y/CCT/CCA (4-0-1). John Valerio, Aidan O’Reilly, and Steven Swanson each found the back of the net with a goal. Luke Spinner and Bereket Nelson each chipped in an assist.

Boys Ice Hockey

Barnstable 3, Archbishop Williams 2: The Red Hawks beat the Bishops to move to 2-1-1 on the season.

Girls Ice Hockey

Cape Cod Furies 2, King Phillip 0: The Furies got the win to remain unbeaten at 4-0-1.

ORR-BMW 3, Dennis-Yarmouth 0: The yellow line composed of Liz Kilpatrick, Isa Rioux, and Chase Harmon came away with a goal each for ORR (2-4-0). Ryann Tripp earned her first shutout of her senior year.

Ainsley Hopwood played well for her first game as a defenseman, and played a great game both ways. Kellan Geake won Bulldog of the game (player of the game) with her relentless forechecking, pressuring of the puck, and great two way play.

Carolyn O’Keefe had a strong game on defense for D-Y (1-2-0).

Girls Basketball

Bourne 50, Seekonk 49: Paige Meda had a career high with 26 points as the Canalwomen edged the Warriors. McKinley Wenzel chipped in 11 points for Bourne (3-1).

Sandwich 45, Martha’s Vineyard 27: The Blue Knights beat the Vineyarders to give head coach Mike Barrett his first varsity win.

Monomoy 44, Nauset 29: KiKi Pigocronin had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Sharks. Melissa Velasquez finished with 10 points and six rebounds, Kiley Mawn chipped in six points and Lucy Mawn contributed with four points and lockdown defense for Monomoy (2-1).

Barnstable 55, Nantucket 31: The Red Hawks (2-3) had a big win over the Whalers (1-2).

Boys Basketball

Falmouth 57, MT Hope 48: Jack Watson finished with 33 points for the Clippers as they won at the Portsmouth RI Tournament. Brendan Mahoney had seven points and 11 rebounds, and Myles Peterkin chipped in seven points and six rebounds for Falmouth (3-1).

Nauset 57, Monomoy 23: Nico Harringotn had a game high of 18 points for the Warriors. Dillion White scored 11 points, Andrew Berardi had nine points and Patrick O’Keefe added eight points for Nauset (3-1).

Finn Hyora led the way for the Sharks with eight points for Monomoy (2-4).

Martha’s Vineyard 84, Sandwich 44: Matheus Rodrigues scored 24 points in the first half and finished with 26 points and 10 rebs for the Vineyarders. Nate Story scored 19 points and Sam Zack added 8 points for Martha’s Vineyard (4-0).

Bourne 82, Seekonk 60: Leo Andrade caught fire from deep with six three balls and finished with 25 points for the Canalmen. Nate Reynolds wasn’t far behind with 24 points, and Mikey Dankert contributed 13 points for Bourne (3-1). The Canalmen led 41-32 at half.

Nantucket 75, Barnstable 42: The Whalers (1-2) won their first game of the season with a win over the Red Hawks (1-4).

Monday

Boys Ice Hockey

Bourne 2, Apponequet 1: Eighth grader Reece Burgess made some key saves for the Canalmen as they beat the Lakers for their second straight win. Ty Kelley and Domenic Bonito each had a goal and an assist for Bourne (2-1-0).
