Luther, Kathleen TROY Kathleen Luther, 56, a former resident of Mechanicville, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Born on October 24, 1964, in upstate New York, and happy to reside there her entire life, she was daughter of the late Patricia Ferrara Luther R.N. and Edward Luther. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy and SUNY Albany. Kathy had always been a free spirit. Her smile, her beauty, easy-going energy and accepting everyone for who they are was just part of who she was. We are remembering her for her spirit, smile, energy, beauty, intelligence, (crazy fun) humor, ability to remember every birthday, and being a great cook (she mastered Nana’s and Mom’s sauce and minestra). She was a fantastic cook and creative home decorator. She loved her four-legged fur babies, her family and her friends. She was hardworking and had many friends. Kathy lived her life uniquely and her way. We know that she is at peace now, in a better place and is hopefully playing on a great golf course in heaven. Survivors include her sisters, Linda (Luther) Livey and Eleine (Luther) Beardsley; nieces and nephews, Valerie (DiSiena) Eason, Austin DiSiena, Caitlin (Livey) Casey and Sam Maddock, cousins and their families. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 N. Main St., Mechanicville on Friday, June 11, at 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life gathering.
