Doctor Thomas McGovern, Co-host of the “Doctor, Doctor” podcast and board member of the Catholic Medical Association, became one of the first healthcare workers in the state of Indiana to receive his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Dr. McGovern joins to discuss what it was like when he received the vaccine and what it has been like since. The doctor shares his insight on whether having severe allergies causes any safety concerns for taking the vaccine, especially since a healthcare worker in Alaska was hospitalized and treated for a serious allergic reaction after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Dr. McGovern shares his advice to Catholics who may still be hesitant to take the vaccine, and explains if he had any reservations himself about taking it.
