Deborah E. Harmon
Deborah E. Harmon, 62, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
She was born Sept. 2, 1958, in Jasper, Indiana, to Paul S. Wininger and the late Patricia (Gee) Bowling.
Debbie married Dr. Brian L. Harmon on May 11, 1985, at the Loogootee Christian Church.
Debbie was a beautician and was dedicated to serving her clients for 35 years. She previously managed P.J. Beauty College in Greencastle for three years. Debbie loved taking care of her family, friends and giving to those less fortunate. She enjoyed being outside and being in the sun. She took pride in volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul for many years. Debbie and her husband, Brian, attended Antioch Christian Church. There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others. Debbie was just that.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia (Gee) Bowling; grandson Kendrick Keller; stepbrother Terry Bowling.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dr. Brian L. Harmon of Washington; children Lori (Keith) Keller, Josh (Savannah) Harmon, Luke (Abby Ackerman) Harmon, all of Loogootee, and Tya (Paul) Keys of East Kilbride, Scotland; father Paul (Vicki) Wininger of Shoals; stepfather Don Bowling of Loogootee; grandchildren Bailey, Kaedon and Lauren Holt, Izabella Wininger, Mya, Kai and Kianna Harmon; brother Ronnie (Julie) Wininger of Benton, Kentucky; half sister, Paula Wolf of Cannelburg; stepsisters Dayleen Ragains of Sellersburg and Christine (Terry) Marley of Bloomfield; stepbrothers Dean Quinn of Shoals, Dr. Frank (Mary Sue) Bowling of Washington and Dr. Stacey (Andrea) Bowling of Loogootee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Association.
