China eases strict zero covid policy, residents relieved
It took a nationwide outbreak of protests for China to relax its strict zero-Covid policy that has governed daily life for years. In the capital Beijing, where many businesses have fully reopened, commuters were no longer required to show a negative virus test taken within 48 hours to use public transport bringing much sought-after relief to the residents.
