FALL RIVER — It was not a great week for Greater Fall River football teams in Week 5.
Now the locals turn their eyes toward Friday Night Lights’ Week 6 matchups.
Several teams lost close finishes down the stretch while others simply had an off night.
Three teams — Bishop Stang, Diman and Durfee — will take to the road while Atlantis Charter/Connolly/Westport and Somerset Berkley enjoy home cooking.
Joseph Case will have a bye week to get rest and get healthier.

Atlantis Charter/Connolly/Westport vs. West Bridgewater
Record: 0-5
Time: 6 p.m. Friday
The Tritons are hoping to get some people back from the injury list before their home contest against West Bridgewater.
Atlantis had its ups and downs last Saturday against St. John Paul II before falling to the Lions.
Senior Adam Banks had 82 yards rushing, including a 69-yard touchdown run. Aiden Lanciault added the two-point conversion.
Quarterback Tyler Cordeiro had 52 yards on five carries while seniors Camryn Paradise, Jordan Furtado, and Bradey Viveiros each were solid, defensively.
After an opening day loss to East Bridgewater, the Wildcats come into the contest with a 4-1 record.
Star player Will DeLuca scored three touchdowns as West Bridgewater blanked Holbrook/Avon, 41-0.
In their last four wins, the Wildcats averaged 35 points per game.

Bishop Stang at Austin Prep
Record: 1-4
Time: 7 p.m. Friday
The Spartans look to rebound after coming off a loss against St. Mary’s (Lynn).
Head coach Dennis Golden will take his club on road to face Austin Prep in Week 6.
Stang scored all their points in the fourth quarter after the score was 35-0.
Greg Morales scored all of the Spartans’ points on rushing touchdowns.
The Cougars won their second straight game against Archbishop Williams, 28-13, after losing their first three games of the year.
Brendan Walsh rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the victory against the Bishops.
It should be a close league matchup between the two teams.

Diman at Southeastern
Record: 1-4
Time: 7 p.m. Friday
It was not the results the Bengals had hoped for in Week 5.
Diman lost on a last-second field goal to Tri-County at home. Now first-year head coach Luke Bahry needs to regroup the troops for another league matchup against Southeastern on the road.
Jayden Massey scored a pair of touchdowns while quarterback Jacob Furtado threw for 201 yards on 17-of 26 passing and one touchdown.
Wide receiver Alex Rivest had a huge game, catching 10 passes for 121 yards, including a 64-yard touchdown pass.
The Hawks come into the contest 1-2 after winning their first game of the season two weeks ago against Tri-County.
Each of Southeastern’s losses has been seven points or less.

Durfee at Dartmouth
Record: 1-4
Time: 7 p.m. Friday
The Hilltoppers would like to forget Week’s 5 performance against Bridgewater-Raynham.
Now Taylor Brown and his squad need to pick themselves back up and face another top league opponent in Dartmouth.
Durfee had just 162 yards of total offense against the Trojans. They will have to do a lot better to compete with the Indians. The Hilltoppers hope to get back a few players back, including Jaden Lewis who left the contest in Week 5 with an injury.
Jeffrey Castro and KJ Strong were productive on the offensive end.
Dartmouth took a beating against league opponent Brockton for their first league loss of the season.
Baron Dutra scored a defensive touchdown against the Boxers. Seniors Ethan Marques (15 carries, 81 yards) and Will Kelly (17 carries, 85 yards) each scored a rushing touchdown.

Somerset Berkley vs. Dighton-Rehoboth
Record: 0-4
Time: 6:30 p.m. Friday
A field goal in the final minute in Week 5 cost Somerset Berkley its first win of the season.
The Raiders and head coach Nick Freitas will be looking for win No. 1 as they host Dighton-Rehoboth on Senior Night.
Senior running back Dylan Rodriguez scored three touchdowns for SB in the second half. Quarterback Owen Meehan had a five-yard touchdown run and converted a two-point conversion.
Now the Raiders will look for more offense.
The Falcons lost their second straight South Coast Conference game against Old Rochester, 35-14.
Running back Cole Bilodeau tallied both touchdowns for D-R, including a 21-yard rush. Quarterback Hendrix Pray threw for 65 yards on four passes.
